Epigenetic dysregulation is implicated in many disease processes, including skin disorders. In this class, we will discuss the delicate relationship between the gut and skin and various dermatological diseases including acne, rosacea, and atopic dermatitis. We will learn about the skin microbiome as it plays an important role in homeostasis, partially through the maintenance of the cutaneous immune system, and inflammatory markers leading to skin's aging.
