An autoimmune disease is a disorder in which the body attacks itself. Operating on an internal level, several autoimmune diseases affect the skin’s vitality. In this class, we will look deeper into the emerging information on leading causes of skin conditions associated with auto-immune disorders. The endocrine system will be reviewed along with the influence of endocrine disruptors of this very intricate system. Attendees will learn of vitiligo, scleroderma, psoriasis and vasculitis and the safe facial treatment options for clients who are experiencing auto-immune disorders. Everyone deserves to feel and look beautiful, and the process starts with healthy skin!
